Helium Mobile x Sphere: Pay for Your Helium Mobile Subscription with Crypto

Helium Mobile, a leader in decentralized wireless connectivity, and Sphere, an innovative payment solutions provider specializing in crypto transactions, announced that they are partnering to enable new Helium Mobile subscribers to pay for their phone plans with crypto, with the power of the Solana blockchain. This new crypto payment option is seamlessly integrated into a redesigned subscription sign-up flow, offering a streamlined experience for users while continuing to disrupt and innovate the telecom industry. This expansion of crypto payment options showcases Helium Mobile’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technologies and pioneering new ways to empower its customers with accessibility and affordability.

Helium Mobile is the largest phone service provider in the United States built on blockchain technology, with over 100,000 sign-ups since its launch in May of 2023. Previously, Helium Mobile has given subscribers the option to prepay for up to three months of their plan with MOBILE, a token native to the Helium Network. Now, new subscribers will be able to leverage additional forms of crypto to pay for a year of service.

Thanks to its partnership with Sphere, new Helium Mobile subscribers can link supported wallets, including Phantom, Coinbase, Solflare, and more, to pay for a year of Helium Mobile service using their preferred token without worrying about a monthly payment, increasing the flexibility and utility of paying for essential goods and services using crypto. New subscribers to Helium Mobile can sign up for an annual plan on hellohelium.com and select “Crypto” on the payment page. They will then be directed to Sphere’s checkout to link a preferred wallet and complete payment.
